1. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has appointed media professional Manu Sawhney as its new chief executive officer, replacing incumbent David Richardson.

2. 49 institutions of India have made it to the prestigious university rankings of Times Higher Education Emerging Economies. Out of these 49 institutions, 25 have made it to top 200 institutions. According to the London-based ‘Times Higher Education’, China remains the most represented nation in the annual 2019 listing.
